  • Will I meet the DJ before the event?

    If you are hiring a DJ through the Music is Life Entertainment, you will get a free consultation with your DJ. It’s important you know the personality of the DJ and feel comfortable with them to make your event successful.

  • Do we take requests?

    Yes, and we play them! We bring thousands of songs to each event. Your request is important to us, so if we don’t have it, we will get! Use your phone’s camera to scan QR code on the homepage.

  • When will the DJ arrive for the event?

    We will arrive one hour prior to the event to make sure our equipment is tested and ready to go upon guest arrival. We will coordinate with the venue prior to the event date.

  • How much is the deposit?

    It depends on the event. Deposits are a signed agreement in which we will reserve your date on our calendar. Balances are due one week prior to the event.

  • How will the DJ be dressed at your event?

    Suit or button up to match the event colors.

  • Do you have insurance?

    All of our Music is Life Entertainment equipment, which is covered by liability insurance.

  • How are emergencies handled?

    Music is Life Entertainment regards safety as a top priority. All emergencies will be handled accordingly by the DJ through microphone announcements - making sure to guide the guests to the nearest exit of the venue in case of a real emergency.

  • Do you have any references?

    Yes! We can provide you a list of satisfied customers, well as refereances from banquet managers. We are professional, easy to work with, and most importantly - we know how to throw a party!

  • Do you have any lighting?

    At the moment we are working on getting lighting as part of the Music is Life Entertainment.

  • Do you use "old school" vinyl turntables to DJ events?

    At the moment, Music is Life Entertainment uses digital turntables. We will be working on adding vinyl turntables in the near future.

  • Music Selection: "I Don't want the music on my wedding to be traditional wedding music.. Can it be different?

    Absolutely! We can do that. Music is Life Entertainment wats our clients to have the best experiences for their events as much as possible, per event request.

  • How involved can we be in selecting music for our event?

    Clients are more than welcome, (as much as possible) to communicate with the DJ for the event. It is our top priority to make sure our clients are happy!

  • What kind of music is in your collection?

    Music is Life Entertainment has a variety of music from hip hop, country, top 40, Cape Verdean music, Brazilian music, Portuguese music, etc. If we don’t have it, we can get it upon request prior to events!

  • Can we visit you at a performance?

    Yes, upon event permission. The DJ must get permission for the client the DJ is serving depending on the event.
